Troubleshooting
Fixes for the errors people hit most on Lib Testnet: wrong network, insufficient funds, nonces, method not enabled, rate limits and more.
#Wallet and network
#"Wrong network" or the wallet shows another chain
Switch the wallet to Lib Testnet, chain ID 54210. Apps should call wallet_switchEthereumChain and fall back to wallet_addEthereumChain on error 4902 (see Build a dApp).
#MetaMask says the chain ID doesn't match
Remove any old network entry for this RPC and add it again with chain ID 54210 and currency symbol tLIB.
#The faucet says I already received coins
Each address and each IP can request once every 24 hours. The Hub shows when you can try again.
#Sending transactions
#insufficient funds for gas * price + value
The account doesn't hold enough tLIB for the value plus the fee. Get some from the faucet, and check that you're on Lib Testnet and not another network.
#nonce too low / replacement transaction underpriced
Another transaction used that nonce. Let your wallet or library pick the nonce (eth_getTransactionCount with "pending"). To replace a stuck transaction, resend with the same nonce and a higher tip.
#The method eth_sendTransaction is not supported
The public RPC holds no keys. Sign locally (wallet, viem, ethers, Foundry) and send with eth_sendRawTransaction. Libraries do this for you when you give them an account or a signer.
#The transaction reverted
Run the same call with eth_call or cast call to read the revert reason, or reproduce it in a Foundry fork test with -vvvv for a full trace. debug_traceTransaction isn't available on the public RPC.
#My transaction hasn't appeared
Blocks come every two seconds while there are transactions. If nothing shows after ten seconds, check the hash on Lib Explorer; if it's unknown, the transaction wasn't broadcast. Send it again.

#Foundry: forge create only simulates
Add --broadcast. Recent Foundry versions don't send without it.
#Contract verification fails
Self-serve verification isn't enabled on Lib Testnet yet. See Verify a contract.
#lib1 address rejected
The checksum didn't match, so a character is wrong, or the address uses mixed case. Paste it into the converter to check. Remember that the RPC, contracts and the faucet API need the 0x form.
