Get test tLIB
The faucet gives 10 tLIB per address every 24 hours. Use it from LibChain Hub, Lib Wallet, the faucet page or the API.
tLIB pays for gas on Lib Testnet. It's free and has no market value.
#Ways to get it
All three use the same faucet, so the same limits apply. You can paste either the lib1 or the 0x form of your address.
#Limits
| Amount | 10 tLIB per request |
| Per address | One request every 24 hours |
| Per IP address | One request every 24 hours, and at most 6 API calls a minute |
| Whole faucet | At most 200 requests an hour |
If you hit a limit, the faucet says when you can try again. Need more for testing? Ask the people you test with to send you some: transfers on testnet are free apart from gas.
#From code
The faucet has a small JSON API. Check first, then request:
# Can this address request now?
curl -s "https://faucet.libchain.tech/api/v1/status?address=0xYourAddress&chainId=54210"
# Request 10 tLIB
curl -s -X POST https://faucet.libchain.tech/api/v1/drip \
-H 'content-type: application/json' \
-d '{"address":"0xYourAddress","chainId":54210}'The API takes 0x addresses. To use a lib1 address, convert it first (see lib1 in your app). The full API is on Faucet API.
For automated tests, keep one funded test account and reuse it. Don't call the faucet from CI on every run: the per-IP limit will stop you.
