Introduction
LibChain is the blockchain of the Lib ecosystem: Ethereum-compatible, final once a block is sealed, with Lib Coin as its native coin. These docs cover the live Lib Testnet.
LibChain runs the same smart contracts and JSON-RPC interface as Ethereum, so Solidity, viem, ethers, Foundry, Hardhat and MetaMask work with it as they are. A few things are its own:
- Final once sealed. Blocks come from QBFT validators. A sealed block is final: there are no reorganisations to wait out.
- Lib Coin. The native coin pays every fee. On testnet it's
tLIB, free from the faucet and with no market value. - lib1 addresses. Lib Wallet and Lib Explorer can show any account in a Bech32 form,
lib1…, as well as its usual0xform. Both are the same account.
Lib Testnet only. Mainnet isn't live yet. Everything here is for the testnet, chain ID 54210. Test coins have no value, and the network may be reset while it's in testing.

#What's on LibChain today
| Service | Address | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| JSON-RPC | https://rpc-testnet.libchain.tech | Standard Ethereum JSON-RPC over HTTPS. |
| Lib Explorer | testnet.libchain.tech | Blocks, transactions, tokens and verified contracts, with lib1 addresses. Has a REST and Etherscan-style API. |
| LibChain Hub | https://hub.libchain.tech | Connect a wallet to see balances and activity, send, wrap tLIB and use the faucet. |
| Faucet | https://faucet.libchain.tech | 10 tLIB per address every 24 hours. |
| Lib Wallet | Browser extension | A self-custody wallet for Chrome, Edge and Brave, made for LibChain. |
| WtLIB | 0x87052f1f17b2b4054b014e93e53d6ce6dc912bda | Wrapped tLIB: an ERC-20 backed 1:1 by tLIB. |
